Jizhou identifies and partners with visionary founders and companies by leveraging data and algorithms. Besides running the data-driven investing platform, Jizhou focuses on early-stage investments across SaaS, data infrastructure, developer tools, AI and fintech.

Jizhou joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2021. He leads the data-driven investing platform, empowering all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, evaluation, and portfolio company support.

Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Jizhou worked in Goldman Sachs’s Special Situations Group as a quantitative strategist, where he implemented quantitative models and created scalable platforms for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, finding actionable insights, and improving portfolio management. He also served on the GS Engineering Assessment Committee, helping recruit engineering talent.

Jizhou graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Economics and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. Outside of coursework, he hosted hackathons, played semi-competitively in Dota 2 and ranked top 100 in NA, and organized board game social gathering for student founders. He also interned at Facebook Ads and IBM.

Originally from Shandong, China, Jizhou loves Asian cuisine and dabbled in Cha Dao — the Chinese way of tea. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, reading biographies, and making beats.
