Shannon Harrington

StartUp Academy Program Leader, Palo Alto

Shannon joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2011. Working in the Palo Alto office, Shannon heads up StartUp Academy, a new college recruiting initiative that helps Bain Capital Ventures’ portfolio companies identify and hire elite technical talent. Look out for when she’ll be on your campus this year!

Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Shannon worked as an analyst at Public Financial Management in San Francisco, California and interned at 85 Broads in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Shannon received her BA in Urban Studies with a concentration in Urban Society and Social Change from Stanford University in 2011. While at Stanford, she was the Director of Campus Activities for Chi Omega, a Co-Captain of the Women’s Varsity Squash Team, and an active volunteer for Senior Gift.

Shannon is from Philadelphia and the oldest of three children. She enjoys playing competitive games of squash, miniature golf, and Taboo with/against her family and friends. Warning: side effects from losing are likely to occur.
