Erica joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2011. She is responsible for the firm’s marketing activities including branding, public relations and events. Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Erica was Senior Marketing Manager at Advanstar Communications where she specialized in strategic planning and digital marketing for their events division, CBI. Prior to Advanstar, Erica spent five years in NYC at Euromoney Institutional Investor. She worked for the company’s flagship publication, Institutional Investor Magazine, with a focus on online advertising. When the firm acquired IMN, an international conference organizer, she was promoted to Group Marketing Manager, oversaw the marketing and research departments, launched the group’s digital strategy and led worldwide PR and branding initiatives.
Erica received her Bachelor’s in Marketing from the College of Business Administration at the University of Rhode Island. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega and served on the Gamma Sigma Chapter’s Executive Board. Erica is currently a member of The Mike Boyd Foundation Inc., a not-for-profit dedicated to advancing cancer research, where she plans and executes marcom programs and fundraising events.
To Erica, the greatest aspect of working within the startup community is being surrounded by such passionate people – she finds all the stories of success and failure incredibly inspiring. You can often find Erica bouncing around town at one of Boston’s many entrepreneurial events, dining in Boston’s new Innovation District (where she resides), or talking brand strategy over coffee with members of our portfolio teams or friends who are launching new businesses.
