Brian Goldsmith

Associate, Boston

Brian joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2012.  He focuses on companies in the Business Services sector.  Brian enjoys learning about new markets and working with entrepreneurs to develop and build their companies.

Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Brian worked at Bain & Company in New York City.  At Bain & Co., Brian advised companies on strategic investments and growth opportunities across the technology, financial services, consumer goods and healthcare industries.  An avid sports fan, Brian also spent six months working with the NBA and WNBA teams in Washington, DC, the Wizards & the Mystics, building their data analytics and strategic planning department.

Brian received a degree in Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from Yale University.  While at Yale, Brian was actively involved on campus, serving as National President of Recruitment for Students for Organ Donation, working as a volunteer instructor teaching health and wellness in New Haven public schools, and playing goalkeeper for the Club Soccer team.

Brian is from Sarasota, FL. In his free time, Brian enjoys playing soccer, whitewater kayaking, hiking, and cooking.  Brian is excited to be in Boston where he can more avidly pursue his outdoor hobbies, though he is worried that living in Boston may make it dangerous to express his strong affinity for his favorite sports teams, all from New York – the Yankees, Giants, Rangers, and Knicks.
