After years as an operator, investor and consultant, Ben joined Bain Capital Ventures to work with management teams and entrepreneurs on attaining sustainable high growth. He is passionate about the new generation of software companies; he focuses on security, mobility, performance, and reinventing the infrastructure delivery ‘stack’.

Ben joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2007. As a leader of the software practice, Ben focused on helping entrepreneurs and their management teams attain the highest possible growth.

Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Ben was the Vice President of Sales Operations for Iron Mountain, an information protection and storage services company. Ben was a venture capital investor with Fidelity Investment, where he focused on software and technology-enabled businesses. Earlier in his career, Ben was a consultant at McKinsey & Company and also worked at Microsoft. Ben received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and his BSE in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University.

Outside of the office, Ben enjoys skiing, cycling, and hiking. He fuels these activities by seeking out tasty food and likes to think he knows his way around the kitchen.
